Willa Jean

Food: 9.5/10 Drinks: N/A Vibes: 9/10

Midwest Foodie: Fresh, southern, huge portions, what else could you ask for in this must-see breakfast/brunch spot? I had a salmon croissant with butter and tomatoes that I ate in fewer than two minutes it was so good. Our table also ordered the Willa Jean breakfast and the avocado toast, which were both outstanding. It’s a bit on the pricey side, but if you’re looking for a heavy southern breakfast done right, Willa Jean’s will satisfy your craving. Two thumbs up

West Coast boozer: Woah full bar for breakfast?? I had a neuro test coming up so I couldn’t booze in the a.m. but the cocktails looked great. Can’t rate it because I didn’t try it but I have a hunch that liquid lunch would be a solid choice here. N/A

East coast vibes: So much open airiness and light I wasn’t sure if it was the picture windows and high ceilings or if the food had sent me straight to a better place. What isn’t enclosed by picture windows is enclosed by rustic wood paneling that gives the restaurant a farm to table vibe. The place is perfect for a brunch or lunch to lift your spirits (not to mention the spirits that can help with that too) and the happy hubbub of the place makes it a great spot for groups as well. Not sure it would work as well for dinner…it’s in a pretty commercial area so doesn’t feel so much like a night on the town, plus it definitely bills itself more as a breakfast/brunch spot. Have yet to pass by or get a bite without it brimming with a full content crowd! 9/10
