Midwest foodie: Lilly’s is a local staple for Vietnamese food. Fair prices and great food that doesn’t leave you feeling lethargic. I love their vermicelli bowls, highly recommend the grilled pork. They also have great spring rolls, my favorite being their “Lilly’s Rolls” which come with shrimp, pork, avocado, strawberry, lettuce, mint, and vermicelli. Sweet, salty and starchy all in one. Dip it in their house peanut sauce and YUMMY! Vietnamese food is important to NOLA and Lilly’s does it right. Two thumbs up.
West Coast boozer: No alcohol here but I’m ok with that since it’s a lunch spot and I’m a busy med school girl. I have had the limeade and it was nice and tart but they have a lot of really cool sounding drinks that I can’t wait to try on my many trips back to good ol’ Lilly’s.B-
East coast vibes: You go here because you’re hungry and you want some of the best Vietnamese food around…not so much because of the scene. The staff is super friendly and the place has nice big picture windows that face magazine but there’s nothing very standout about the aesthetics. It’s the kind of great hole in the wall place you have to know to stop into…but when you know, you’ll know to keep going back! 6/10
